Ghanaian fashion designer Margaret Adjei, the creative force behind Meg’s Signature, has unveiled a new plush showroom, marking a major milestone after nearly a decade of shaping women’s fashion in Ghana.
Renowned for her couture expertise, Adjei has become a go-to name for influential women including Sabah Zita Benson, Ghana’s first female High Commissioner to the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland; celebrated actress Nana Ama McBrown; filmmaker and CEO of the National Film Authority Kafui Danku; and UK-based stylist Akosua Vee. Her label has become a favourite for women who embody power and elegance, cementing Ghana’s growing reputation in global fashion.
The showroom launch, held on 6 September 2023, brought together loyal clients, family, industry stakeholders, and fashion enthusiasts eager to explore her latest designs. Guests were treated to a stunning display of bridal gowns, intricate beadwork, and bespoke couture that reflected the brand’s signature craftsmanship and innovation.
Speaking at the event, Adjei revealed the expanded vision for Meg’s Signature, including a 24/7 hybrid service model that combines in-person consultations with a strong online presence. Her team, she explained, is fully equipped to travel for international styling services, ensuring that clients worldwide experience the same tailored luxury that defines her brand.
In addition to her couture line, Adjei announced the introduction of a luxury boutique featuring curated designer bags, shoes, and accessories. This expansion elevates the shopping experience, giving her clients access to a complete fashion lifestyle under one roof.
Meg’s Signature continues to champion inclusivity by designing for women of all ages and sizes, guided by the philosophy that every woman is “fearfully and wonderfully made.” Its debut annual collection, AkuaBa Dolls, remains a defining showcase of this ethos, blending tradition, artistry, and contemporary fashion.
With her new showroom, Margaret Adjei is not only celebrating a personal milestone but also reaffirming her role in advancing Ghanaian fashion on the global stage.
